General
Is this extension free?
Yes, Better Tiptop is completely free and open-source. You can use it without any cost.
Is my data safe?
Yes, all data is processed locally in your browser. No data is sent to external servers. Your order files remain private and are not stored.
Is Better Tiptop affiliated with Tiptop Shop?
No. Better Tiptop is an independent community project and is not officially affiliated with Tiptop Shop.
Features & Usage
what file formats are supported?
We support the following formats:
- HTML - exported directly from Tiptop Shop
- CSV - with columns: product name, quantity, unit
Where can I get the order file?
You can export the order file directly from:
- The Order History page on Tiptop Shop
- Select the order you want to repeat
- Export as an HTML or CSV file
How many products can be processed at once?
The extension can process up to 100+ products in a single run. If you have more products, it is recommended to split them into several batches.
What happens if a product is out of stock?
The extension will:
- Mark the product as “Out of Stock”
- Continue with other products
- Show a stock summary at the end of the process
What about products that are not found?
Products that are not found will be marked as “Not Found” and will not be added to the cart. You can see the list of missing products in the final summary.
Technical
Does this extension work in other browsers?
Currently, Better Tiptop is only available for Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Opera). Plans for Firefox are under consideration.
Does this extension collect user data?
No. Better Tiptop does not collect any personal data. All processing is done locally in your browser.
How do I update the extension?
The extension will update automatically via the Chrome Web Store. Ensure your extension is always up-to-date for the latest features and bug fixes.
How much resources (CPU/Memory) are used?
The extension is designed to be lightweight and efficient:
- Memory: ~50-100MB when active
- CPU: Minimal, only during import process
- No background processes when idle
Troubleshooting
Extension does not work after install
Try the following steps:
- Refresh the Tiptop Shop page
- Ensure you are logged in
- Check chrome://extensions/ to make sure Better Tiptop is enabled
- Restart browser if necessary
CAPTCHA keeps appearing
This is normal to prevent bots:
- Solve the CAPTCHA manually when prompted
- The extension will automatically resume
- If it happens too often, wait a few minutes before retrying
Import stops in the middle of the process
Possible causes:
- Internet connection lost → Check your connection
- Tiptop session expired → Relogin to Tiptop Shop
- Rate limiting → Wait a few minutes before retrying
Products not added to cart
Ensure:
- Product is available at the selected branch
- Product name matches the Tiptop database
- There are no errors in the extension log
